Don't go too literal on me. You knew exactly what I meant. Funny, I think your post makes zero sense as well. But then again, I could never mesh with clinical minded guitarists who advocate synthetic solutions to human expression. Sorry, I must be continuing to confuse your black and white outlook and comprehension related to creating music. Lol!

If you didn’t mean tone is sound then stop and find the correct word to use. Your communication skills are lacking. I think you don’t know what you mean!

Get over yourself. People have opinions differing from yours. I create music with different tools. I have no problems with that. I kept up to date with technology.

You on the other hand can only use old tech. But everyone else is wrong? Lol.

I decided, fairly recently, that if I cant fix it, I'd rather not have it. Really don't care how prone to breaking it may not be. I'm pretty much done buying gear but there is a particular amp I'd like to build and I'm sure I'll build some more pedals and probably buy a few. I don't play professionally and I'm done chasing "tone". My focus is on playing for me which happens to be pretty good therapy for the soul and body (nerve damage). At this point, overrated to me is anything the costs too much whether it's a boutique tube amp or the newest modeling stuff, or real expensive guitars.

Everyone is different and there are no absolutes.
