All my girls are beuatiful, each in a different way ( well, except 'Ermintrude', who's rather a Plain Jane, but has a lot of heart). But theres three main types of beauty- classic, rustic, and modern.

Now this of Alex is stunning classic beauty;

I am a full-on vintage tone nut. So most of my pickups have gone to total boutique snobbery level (not to say that I can't appreciate the few Duncans I have loaded in other guitars - mostly hybrids now).
So with that disclaimer out of the way, I have some from a winder call Sigil......the pickups are called the 'Bluesman Roots' set. I got in the last set that he had wound with some NOS spools he sourced from 1957. Fairly high in DCR for a vintage set at about 8.5 and 8.0k, but this is full-on PAF era wire here so the DCR can be totally unrelated to output (I have a vintage 6.9k p90 in the bridge that balances a 8.0k p90 in the neck as an example). And like other examples from early 1957 the magnets are A3.

This is a full set of the build hardware.

Haha... That blue Soloist isn't going anywhere lol. Here is a picture of it with my H&K Puretone and a black & blue Splawn 2x12.

Lol, I'll take a swing at this.

I would say that 6 out of 7 days, my Gibson KS 336 is top dog for my modest stable (3 working guitars/2 projects).

Quilted Bubinga veneer on a one piece Bubinga body, Jackson neck re-fretted in jumbo stainless steel,
Sounded as good as it looks, gone to it's forever home now :(

That is my first blue guitar I have ever owned. Always was a fan of the whale blue from PRS and if I were to buy a PRS it would be in that color! That said, I like all colors when it comes to guitars. I think I own more black guitars than any other color; 6 of my guitars are a type of black (matte, gloss, transparent).

I don't have the flame top lookers... but i think these are my best looking:





This one is my #1 player, 9s - 11s, medium action to low action, it always plays and sounds great.
