What is your dream amp?

Soldano HR50+. I played one in a store once, and the tone never escaped me. I got an HR50 last year, but unfortunately I am not at liberty to crank it up just yet.

^ ^ that's the only Soldano I had ever played & I loved it. Though I recently played the Sodano Slo 30 and it sounded insanely good as well. Nothing has the kind of sheen and glassiness that Soldano's have for solo's..

Mine is a Fender Twin loaded with a 15" speaker. I know they made them for a time, just never had the cash when one came available.

I know. That ONE time I got to try it has haunted my dreams for fifteen years now.

Incidentally, I will get to try the SLO30 next week, when I visit a friend in Belgium. He claims it is the best amp he has ever played, and he has owned a Splawn and a number of other excellent amps. Should be fun!

I've got my eyes set on a Mesa triple crown but they are so backed up on production of these it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to get one this year so if I can't get into a triple crown 100 watt head by the end of the year I think I'm going to get a dual rectifier while I continue to wait for more triple crown amps to be made.

Not really sure it’s my dream amp but it’s the one I’ve been thinking about getting for a while, a Friedman BE50. In saying that though, I’m waiting for the liquid profiling update from Kemper to see if that really does give the full control and actual response of the profiled amp you select.

I don't think I have a dream amp, but my Pittbull 100CL is my favorite head I've played. Does that count? There are loads of amps and cabs I would buy if money was no object. Different flavors. But honestly I've always done best with just a couple of pretty different things for different uses, be it guitars or heads or whatever. If I had a bunch of great metal amps I'd probably spend most of my time cork sniffing and forget to work on my riffs.

I picked my Mk amps back back when they were REALLY cheap.

They’d always been my dream amps since back in the mid 80’s

Here’s my MK trio

’84 MKIIC+ 60 watt combo, ‘83 MKIIC 60/100 loaded head, ‘84 MKIIC+ Simul-Class loaded Bubinga/ Wicker Combo

My PRS Archon. The tones I have heard in my head for decades I now have at my disposal. Have owned about anything you can name and own 5 other amps but my real first gen US built Archon is the amp that always blows me away. I would love to own a real SLO as they are killer amps that are very unique but would not trade my Archon for one if I couldn't own both. PS teh new import Archon is a joke liked my PRS MT 15 better that the ones i have played they are NOT a real Archon!!

Wow, look at that price!

can you run over the differences between those three? obviously combo vs head, and the eq, but the 60/100 vs simluclass for example.
