What is your favorite guitar?

You are probably drooling over it as I write...lol... Yup...it would look perfect with your blonde wig and pink tiger strip spandex Ace, and a perfect backup for the pinky Dean Caddy. Needless to say, it's STEVE DALLAS APPROVED!!!

It's approved if you are Orianthi playing Boomer Bend Blues with excessive amounts of delay...

Still waiting for the rest of this "winning" stable.

I'll have to try splitting my Jazz's. But the guitar there in doesn't have a good place for a switch. I guess I could do a push-pull.

I've split both my Jazz and Dimebucker in a Dinky with a poopoo pot. Worked awesome, and yes, I agree with Securb, both sound great split, Dimebucker especially surprised me. Idk, something about screaming hot ceramic blades made me expect it would suck. Surprisingly, nope.

I've found that if there's a picture or video I am unable to edit a thing. And about half the time if I just add text then I am able to edit things.
We've been complaining about it for years but it doesn't seem to get fixed.

Yup, exactly. I've had a couple of unexpected successes, but generally it really is hit or miss. Just don't blame the admins, I'm sure they're doing their best. Cuz forum and site updates generally suuhuuuuck.

You'd think I wouldn't be able to put it down.

YEAH, YOU KEEP THINKING THAT.

Wow, a guitar type I most seldom see in a lefty layout. And now I want one stringed for a righty, for reasons. I'm highly GASeous like that...

I am a big tiny switch guy also as I responded to Artie they are a coil-split for both pickups and a phase switch. I have push-pulls in a lot of guitars but there is something tactile I love about the mini switches.

If we disregard drilling and purchasing the switches, is the wiring a lot more complicated to do that way? I mean I suppose you could've used all three peepee pots and accomplish the same result, though this to me looks way way better, and honestly maybe even more practical than pots. Plus, clicky-clacky, switchey-flippey. Mmmm...

So, basically, a whore of a guitar, in an effeminate color, that has a rusty trim that needs modded to sound good, with leftover oddly wired electronics, and unadjustable pickups other than in a gross higher-lower way. Sticker tone pickups at that. Do those labels tame the high end? ok

Way to have standards. Can't wait to see the rest of them...

If that were my favorite, I'd not have ran smack and called LSR's boring. I'd take his stable any day over that heap of used whatever.

You are probably drooling over it as I write...lol... Yup...it would look perfect with your blonde wig and pink tiger strip spandex Ace, and a perfect backup for the pinky Dean Caddy. Needless to say, it's STEVE DALLAS APPROVED!!!

Cmon guys, can't we all just get along? :D
Lol, really dgaf, but I've never understood the stereotyping and hate when it comes to guitar tastes, or being a douche about someones different perspective on the matter.

If you have 12 B.C.Rich Warlocks and they all make you happy, that is objectively kinda weird, but also, you do you man.
If you have 7 Thinlines pimped tf out, and for you a Squier is just a peasant carrying his knights armour, yelp, you can afford it man, you enjoy it.
If you have 32 guitars, of which 17 are partscasters you made, 14 are brands no one ever heard of, and one your Polish grandfather luthier left you in the will, well, that's cool. I'd check em all out.
If you have only PRS guitars, I hope your private practice is doing great and that you have time to enjoy those fine instruments.

We're a colourful bunch, that's for sure, but it's all good

I don't understand why people try to make taste, which is largely subjective, a matter of life and death. Well, I do understand to some extent. Macho overcompensation and all that. ;)

So, I know I've already posted my favourite guitar as per OP's inicial idea: the one most played in your collection. But here's another one. It's not even closely the most played, the fact that it weighs around 84lbs doesn't help, but it's the one I'd try to save from a house fire.

1969-1970 (as close as I could pinpoint it by serial number)
Hoyer Model 5060 LP copy

A slab of mahogany, very rare neck construction. Grandpa bought it for dad's 18th (so that's in '71), and then he gave it to me 35 yrs later.
It came with original Gibson humbuckers, but dad swapped them out for a set of Gibson mini humbuckers back in the 70s, and it remained mostly like that. When it got in my hands, he took out the Gibson minis (wise man), and I then stuck a Jazz/JB set in with the Jazz reverse mounted and out of phase, cuz I was kewl like that.
It has a maahoosive very german bridge and tailpiece, original tuners upgraded to a grover set. The rest is pretty much as is. It is currently bare bones, since I took out the SDs and am trying to negotiate the release of those very old Gibson minis :D

Bonus, fav acoustic, for all the reasons:
1972 Suzuki Three's model F-180, Made in Japan Martin D12 copy.
12string dreadnaught, spruce top, mahogany neck, back and sides, rosewood fretboard. Needs a refret 15 years ago, but that wood still sings beautifully.

If we are going the most played route, that would be my Gibson Les Paul Custom Lite w/ WLHs

Trying to keep focus on guitars, favourite ones at that.

My dads favourite is his Gretsch 5422TG Electromatic.
Now, he has a pretty ecclectic collection for a guy that's turning 70 in a couple of months. A Yamaha silent guitar, a Jackson RR V (lol) and a headless Strandberg copy which he refreted, changed the bridge and plopped in an EMG 89xr in the bridge and an 81twx. In. The. Neck. Which is absolute insanity.

But this Gretsch is his new baby and when he has time to play, this is getting out of the case. It has a Bigsby B60, Filtertron set, and those are getting replaced with a TV Jones Classic Plus bridge and Supertron neck set.
Btw, that's not my dad in the photo because that would make him 33, which would make me an accident yet to happen.

An LP, a jersey, cargo pants, and pizza. You, sir, are a well-respected connoiseur of the finer things which make life worth living. I salute you!

I have 3, a 78 Ibanez' artwood AW-70, 98 mim strat totally hardware replaced, totally gutted and replaced with 2 Duncan's and a D'Marzio &, a five way, & 2 mini switches for whatever sound you want.
A Squier 2002 SE Strat that I put together ince but wasnt satisfied so I ripped it apart and I'll probably put the 2 mini switches in it and rout into a pool so I can put what I want in it.

Well as of late this thing has been getting played a whole lot more than anything else

I do love it, not sure it is my favorite but that probably has more to do with sentimentality than anything. Though I just ordered a new pickup for my "fave" that should get it a lot more playing time in my current situation.

The hot ticket ticket at the moment is an '05 Epi Elitist LP Standard (fujigen) with SD DA-59b/59n mix and an SD 500k volume pot for the bridge. I have a Gotoh replacement bridge on it and it's had a major headstock repair. It's a little heavier than I normally would say I like but it's just such an excellent guitar.
