What kinda of Pickguard for a Black guitar?

Ok guys i am thinking of spiffying up my Roadstar II and putting a nicer pickguard on it.

It is a black guitar. So all i can really think about is black as a pickguard. not many options. There are some kind of 'tortise' ones that look pretty good though.

any ideas??

Red pearl looks good on black, ans I suspect something like Warmoth's Brown Shell would look good as well. Mint green?

Black is actually a pretty easy color to work with.

I have a black Strat and I put a Vintage Pearl guard on it. Looks awesome!

Don't do white. Black Strat alikes with white pickguard look like snobby waiters.

Although it's not "my thing",Red Tort does look pretty cool & Chrome wouldn't exactly suck,either!!!

I have a soft spot for white pearloid on black guitars, especially with black covered pickups. Those aluminum looking guards are cool too.

Just bought this off martin6stringscustom and it's going on my Black custom strat currently being built !!

It's actually got a gold sparkle to it so should look stunning !!

It's a warmoth plate and has a kinda 3D effect to it under the lights.
I haven't set it against the black body yet, but I doubt it'll look tacky ( at least I hope not !! )

it seems to be the anaconda, what do you think? looks a bit darker though.
