What makes a pickup unique(the pickup itself, I don't mean like 'fast hands' or 'soul' or 'thick strings.') All I can think of right now is:

Age
Magnet Type
Number of Turns
Thickness of Wire
Staggered/nonstaggered
1 or 2 coils

What else?

For Humbuckers, there's also the internal wirung (parallel/seriell)...
