It was more of a rethorical question. Mybe the owner had SD's in the other positions and wanted to keep the theme (as you said), maybe he damaged the original cover or liked this one best so he replaced it but didn't knew/care how to remove the logo...

For some reason I'm not leaning towards the forgery idea... seems to scream fake.

Would be funny if Seymour Duncan himself would come down and tell us all about the ill fated pup we're trying to id LOL

Don't false advertise. If it's a fake it's a fake, others will find out the same way you do then you'll have to face te consequences (bad rep, having to return the $ or worse).

If your friend backs out send me a pm but try to measure it so we can find out if its a neck/mid/bridge pup.

wait till you ge some REAL pickups.. i was thinking the same about those ibanez v pickups till i got my hands on some real duncans and in a couple of months i'll move up to butique pups.. DAMN worth the money. its so much more .

but stay with your
HZ's, cos once you move up, you'll be on a constant search for your ultimate tone, cos you will see that diferent pups have diferent pros and cons and you'll be damned just like the rest of us AHAHAHAHAHAHA
