What now ?

I have a MIM HSS strat. I am putting MIM Tex-Mex in neck & middle . should I use JB SH-4 or pearly gates in bridge.I like blues & classic rock. Thank You.
I hope I am not asking to many questions.This is the best place for them.

That really depends what kind of output you are after, the JB is a lot hotter than a Pearly Gates.

This guy is using a PGb with a nickel cover. I think he's getting a great sound. I'd get a nickel covered PGb.

Pearly Gates is probably a better match for the Tex-Mex pups.

I´ve a JB in my Hamer (stock p'up) which works really well, but I´ve hated it any strat style guitars I´ve heard one in.
(I mean really hated.):17:

When I was replacing the bridge 'bucker in my strat style I went for a PG trembucker and it sounds really great in there.

My single coils are quite low output so I didn´t want to put in anything too high output (and the JB is high output - would probably be better matched to rails or similar hi o/p single coils).

FYI I play anything from pop to metal but with a tendency more towards blues and classic rock for the most part.

Pearly Gates would match much better than the JB, in tone and output.
