Re: what pedal is good for pushing gain channel even more?
I use my tubulator with the gain cranked to the max with the tone knob at 3 o'clock and volume at roughly 1 o'clock or less. Sends an amp that is slightly past the point of breaking up and very crunchy into total thick meltdown with tons of harmonics etc. Great sounding pedal in a crap enclosure.
The banzai pedals are wonderful indeed, but I can't swing $200 for a pedal when skipping a few of these pedals gets me a whole new amp to play with.
I can't believe EH reissued that thing. It's so simple that pretty much anyone who knows how to use a soldering iron can build one. At least the street price is good, $40 for a simple booster, that's not a bad deal.
