What pedal sounds the best?

This is strictly referring to the pleasant sound you get when you step on the pedal. I like Big Muffs because the resonance of the large box gives it a strong, authoritative, yet simple click clack.

What do ya'll think?

Re: What pedal sounds the best?

I like the lack of sound I get when switching on or off a Boss pedal. Aside from the blaring buffer of my Thrashmaster when stacked with a gritty distortion pedal, Boss really has everything I ever need!

Love the Big Muff.

But for me it’s the DMM. Pretty sure it’s the same as the BM now that I think of it. Then I play a note and when I hear the repeats it just makes me smile.

The sweet spot for the electro harmonix pedals is the big folded enclosures with the old noisy stomp switch, but after the transformer was removed. Big snap, then resonant “bonnnnnng...”

Re: What pedal sounds the best?

I always liked the old DOD pedals, with the electronic switches that you could easily use barefoot.

Re: What pedal sounds the best?

I got an XLR Super Badass pedal and it is fantastic.

Great for bass and guitar.

Good gritty boost and distorted boost, so that you can cut through the noise with the flick of your toe.

You can also not use the boost.

I love the versatility.

Seems like you are leaving it pretty open in terms of the sound we are talking about, but this seems to be the best sounding pedal to me.

I like the soft non click of a Boss and old Ibanez with the square switch....
Or the slight click of the 9 series....
Also dig the momentary switches with the round head...also a nice feel.
