I am using a Marshall Jackhammer for my main crunch tone, and a Boss SD-1 as a boost for lead solos, into Fender Tube amps/Champ,Deluxe Reverb, HRD, Princeton Reverb.
Re: What pedals do you use for Overdrive in what amp?
I use a TS-9 for my lead boost or a Boss CS-3 for clean boost. I have a modded Daddy-o for OD and a Modded TS-5 for crunch. But I like the idea of the Jackhammer. Maybe I can replace two pedals on the board with one?
BTW, I use a HRD and a Princeton reverb .
Re: What pedals do you use for Overdrive in what amp?
I set my Orange head slightly dirty so that if I play soft it's clean, and if I play harder then it crunches up slightly.
I then use a Fulltone Fulldrive 2 for a slight OD tone, a G2D Custom Overdrive for more OD and it's 2nd channel for a solo boost, and then a Spina modded TS9 Tubescreamer for most OD

A TS9 into Fenders. I have a TS9 RI I use in a '68 Super Reverb and I have a Ts9RI that was modded by SratDeluxer 97 that I use in a '67 Deleuxe Reverb.
In My Marshall 900 I occasionally use a Marshall Bluesbreaker.... more as a boost.
Re: What pedals do you use for Overdrive in what amp?
Rocktron Silver Dragon for boosting my Bogner's red channel. The head's great but doesn't have enough gain for my tastes.
I like my modded TS-9 and SD-1 too.
Re: What pedals do you use for Overdrive in what amp?
My Marshall likes the ZW-44 Wylde Overdrive and Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive a lot. But I think I just paired up the perfect match. I built a Dallas Rangemaster clone and used it this weekend with the Marshall. It's perfect.
Re: What pedals do you use for Overdrive in what amp?
At recent gigs I've been playing with a Marshall solid state 2x12 with a BOSS Blues Driver on leads and solos. The BOSS really opened it up and let my leads cut through. It also added some definition to each note I was hitting.
Re: What pedals do you use for Overdrive in what amp?
Fulltone OCD into a Carvin Legacy head. The head is set for a light crunch and the OCD is set for an overdrive/booster function. I can get a very wide variety of tones by playing with the pedal's controls and trying different mixes of pedal/amp gain.
Sure is nice being able to get in the ballpark of Satch, Jimi, and SRV-ish tones in one set with minimal knob tweakage.
Re: What pedals do you use for Overdrive in what amp?
Since I don't have any speakers right now, I don't fret as hard as I normally do and pretend the sound of the string buzzing against the fret is distortion.
