What pichups does Alex lifeson use in his ES355?

I've tried to search this many times but came up empty handed. At this point I'd assume the p'ups were stock but this is obviously not certain. He may have changed them over the years. The area of concern here is between the debut "RUSH" through "moving pictures" albums. Yeah that's quite a span, I know. Most of us Alex fans are aware that the latter album mentioned was the shifting point of his using Strats w/ Gibby HBs in the bridge among other guitars as well. Maybe someone out there can enlighten us.

I read an article outlining what equipment he used on each album and tour. He usually used stock pickups in his guitars until the late 70s when he did the strat thing, then had custom guitars made etc... I'll try to find that article.

EDIT: I tried, but I couldn't find that article. Here's another I thought you might like, but it doesn't discuss pickups. I'm certain that the pickups in his ES guitars are stock though.

In the 70's no one had heard of swapping pickups.:smack:

Least of all in a 335. How would you even get in there?

Ha ha, how true! I didn't do my first pickup swap until 1980. Of course, I was only playing guitar for one year by then, lol.
