hey i was wondering what pick up would be a good match for a SH-5 in the bridge. Should be single coil size.

i was thinking between a hot rails or a cool rails, which one would be better?

I like both the Cool Rails neck and lil59 neck pickups. The Hot Rails neck is a little dark for my tastes.

Either the Hot Rails or the Cool Rails will match very well with a Custom at the bridge. It's just a matter of what you're looking for in a pickup. The Hot Rails will give you some of the nastiest shred metal leads you've ever heard from a neck pickup. The Cool Rails is a little more versatile and can do pretty much anything with the right amp driving it.

I like the Cool Rails the best out of Duncan's Rails series. It has strong output, but is still clean and snappy. Roll down the tone control, and it can evem do jazzy stuff well.

If you want to have SC in parallel you could go with the new Duncan Stacks and split off one coil of the Custom.

Cool rail neck position and also the little 59 neck position! I would personally opt for the cool rail myself but, they are both good!
