what pickups right

im replacing the bridge humbucker on a fender cyclone to a duncan and i play punk rock pop blink green day sounding music so i want a good strong pickup but im not sure what pickup to pick if you people could leave some suggestions id be heaps greatfull.

If you play that sort of music, I'd rather you left your guitar without a pickup :laugh2:

A Distortion or a Custom would stand you in good stead... Distortion if you want to be really aggressive, although I think a Custom would suit better.

If that's too powerful, then a Custom 5 would do well. Let the other forum members give their opinions anyway, I'm no expert.

Well newer green day uses a P-90'd Gibson so you're kind of out of luck there but their older stuff is better anyway and that happens to be a JB in an Alder guitar so that is that.

For Blink you are going to either have a Gibson Dirty Fingers in a Semi-Hollow or a Duncan Invader which is what he used in the older days also with an Alder Guitar.

Either will do what you want. If you like a more low end oriented sound go with the Invader. If you want a brighter poppy sound go for the JB.
