What pickups sound interesting to you but you have yet to try?

Anything JB-related, I kinda want to try, honestly.

I've tried the regular production JB, the Antiquity JB, the Fluence Classic, the Suhr SSH+ and Aldrich, the DiMarzio AT-1, and I love them all.

I'd like to try the Thrash Factor and the Alex Skolnick.

It sounds like you need to find a 35th Anniversary JB! :scratchch

There are a few that I still want to check out:

SD Saturday Night Special set (for a les Paul)
SD Noumenon
SD Brobucker (I have one)
SD 78 (I have one)
SD Perpetual Burn
SD PATB-3

I have tried all the Dimarzio's that i want to and not many stuck.....Just not a fan of most.

I guess im a brand loyalist....?

I do have some interest in trying the Fishman Fluence classics, now that I think about it, even though the internet seems to have gotten over its initial fascination with them.

I'd love to try all of these...but many just to know what I need for a limited number of spots, so I don't really need too much.

SD: APH, saturday night specials, perpetual burn, brobucker antiquity p-90s, Albert Lee A3 singles

BKP: abraxas, holy diver, sultans, irish tours, trilogy suite

Wolfetone: Marshallhead
Tonerider: Surfaris, Birmingham
Burns: trisonic

I've been spinning my wheels thinking about a lot of these pickups. It's been 15+ years since I've played a JB but I think it's the sound I want in one of my HS strats. I've toyed with the idea of the JB, Suhr SSH+, Suhr Aldrich, DiMarzio AT-1, and the Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell. I hadn't even considered the Thrash Factor or the Alex Skolnick.

Another set I've been regularly tempted by is the Saturday Night Special set, but I haven't anything to install them in. The guitars they'd be a good fit for are settled as far as pickups go.

Was curious about an a5 Jazz and an A2 Jazz (APH1) that was interesting
Again just a bit more mids

In a mix , non of it would be noticeable

It's funny you say this... I had a Rebel Yell in the bridge of my Explorer for the last few years. Recently started recording some rhythm tracks with it and the guitar sound wasn't sitting right. I put my old Cold Sweat back in and presto, the whole thing came together. They're very similar sounding pickups, but the RY is more "bouncy" and has a little bit more in the mids, while the CS is firmer and has a little bit more high end definition on the attack. Pretty subtle differences, but they aren't changes I could accomplish 100% with EQ tweaks. I guess I've found that those little minor things are sometimes more noticeable or critical in a mix than they are in isolation.

I've got a Stag Mag that I recently picked up (see what I did there?) but haven't found a guitar to put it into, guess I need another guitar!

The Stag Mag begs to be the bridge pup in an HSS Stratocaster. Split, in pos #2, and full on in pos #1. You need an HSS Strat.

For those who mentioned:

The PATB-3, it's a sweet pup. I'd say, the PATB-3, is to the PATB-1, what the Slash A2 Pro is to the A2 Pro. Kinda, sorta.

The Fluence Open Core Classics. I did a partial trade with Frank Falbo for set of these, and some cash, for my older Ibby RG-something. (He's restored it to gorgeous.) Can't wait to find the right home for these.

I really want to try the Mark Holcomb Scarlet & Scourge set. They are an almost perfect match, cosmetically, for the stock pups in my Peavey Predator, and I can't help but think that they might bring my Kahler Flyer Predator back to life.

I'd also like to try the Custom Shop AH Metal Fatigue in a bridge-only axe.

The Vintage Rails doesn't exactly count as something "I want to try", since I have one installed, but I would like to try a triple VR Strat.
That could be sweet, warm and smooooth.

I had a triple Duckbucker strat, but I think a VR would be even better.

I realized that I'd really like to check out some of the offerings from the Fishman Fluence lines, especially anything Greg Koch uses.
