What Pups should I put in a bolt on korina king V?

So I need to figure out what pickups I want in a black korina King V shape guitar I have been building. I originally ordered a SD 78' for the bridge and a Gibson 57' for the neck, but I am thinking about putting those into a different guitar which I have already completed.

I am thinking I want to go a little hotter on the King-V and hopefully the mids will sound good due to the korina even if I get some high output passives.

What humbuckers you would choose to put in a Korina guitar? I would love to hear opinions from someone who has experience with Korina.

I have a korina guitar with the body mass equivalent of an explorer, IME korina is bright, mid heavy and has a fast attack. I have had a bunch of pickups in this guitar and the set that worked the best has been a set of Dimarzio 36th Anniversaries. They are fat and on the warm side for an A5 PAF type pickup, I am not sure what the Duncan Equivalent would be. WLH maybe?

I am currently using an EVH 5150 III half stack. I intend to make this guitar something that could still work for your typical GnR, EVH medium-heavy stuff but also handle some of the megadeth type stuff. I don't necessarily want to sound like those bands, but I want to be able to play that style of music convincingly. Usually you would go with actives for that kind of thing, but I really dislike actives and at this point it's too late to deal with the whole battery thing.

My thinking was that Korina would be a good choice for a guitar which could get a pretty hot sound without the muddying of the bass tones that mahogany causes or the extreme highs that come through alder. I thought about going JB / Jazz, but that is so standard that I feel like it would be fun to explore something else.

It's hard to just describe an artist's tone as what I'm aiming for, but this was the video that made me think about Korina. I know I could just buy the pups he's advertising, and I feel like the clean tone is great but I am not as enthused about the higher gain sound. I wanted something a little more punch from the low end, maybe just a bit more clear. I would have a maple neck and ebony board instead of rosewood and korina neck like what he is playing by the way. Sorry if I'm not expressing this well.

Dimarzio 36th anniversaries would probably sound good. I have considered buying those in the past, but I already have an LP with A2P Slash pups which are pretty much warm PAFs. I do like the sound, but I don't need two of the same thing, you know?

I have a pair of Antiquities in a Dean Korina V and they are SMOKING. I have A Custom 5 in the neck and a Custom Custom in a Dean Korina Caddy that is close to OMG!!! I also have a Hamer Korina V that has a Duncan 59 in the neck that is very tasty. There is a D******* PAF in the bridge of that one also. Your choices may vary.

I do like that custom custom. Anyone have any thoughts on that 59 custom that someone spliced together? I know it's not really in line with what I said above, but this isn't my only project.

Since everyone's here I guess I may as well ask about the other one too. I am making a frankenstein - ish clone. I want the neck pup to work instead of just being an ornament. I am thinking of that SD custom shop 5-2. http://customshop.seymourduncan.com/5-2-strat-stack/

obviously the bridge is either that 78' i was talking about or one of the EVH s that I rip out of my homemade strat.
Anyone on here tried the 5-2? I like the sound, but the demos I have seen have been heavy on the effects.

If it were mine, I'd probably put a C/59 Hybrid/PGn in it. Both are among the best Duncan rock pickups. It's like VH's bridge with Warren Haynes neck.

I would say look at the Alt 8 for the bridge and a WLH in the neck. You could also try a PATB-3 in the bridge and neck or put a PATB-1 in the bridge and neck or mix the two.
