What should I do? ("Broken" antiquity pickup)

Uh oh. I wanted to go wire up one of my Strats with my Surfer II set. One of the pickups I noticed has a broken wire. I know the answer is probably just "solder it back on" but I'm terrified of the prospect of ruining one of my favorite pickups. Hopefully the upload quality is good enough you guys can see what I'm trying to show you. Thanks in advance for any advice

Edit: upload quality you really can't see what I mean, so I uploaded them here at much better quality :

i see what you are talking about, if it reads ok, then its fine. if not, then solder is your friend

Thanks guys I didn't think to test it, but yes if I test resistance between the hot and ground wires it comes up about 6.5k which is what the box says it should be. I didn't realize theres still a wire coming from the other way that's still there in the solder joint, so it's only "half broken", I guess? Still, should I be concerned about this at all? Or is it basically gonna be just as strong and durable

I think it will most likely work and sound great (if you are getting a reading like that).

it should be fine as long as you got a solid reading of 6.5k. usually the wire comes off of the coil and is wrapped a few times around the eyelet which seems to be broken, but it should be fine. once installed pups that connections should see any interference. if you pull the pup out, then id be careful with it

I will be very careful with it from here on out. thanks

I think i can tell its on white lead means on the hot lead means on the outer layer. This is the side which can repaired by down winding layers and resoldering, in case it breaks” full”.
