What should I put in an Ibanez RG7321 to get a modern Fit For An Autopsy sound?

First seven string guitar, picking it up this Friday.

Mainly I just want to play stuff like Fit For An Autopsy, Thy Art Is Murder etc. I've been playing 35 years but this heavy stuff has taken my fancy lately.

Suggestions?

My first thought is the 7 string Pegasus/Sentient set, which has the low end + articulation you wound need for that music. What amp is being used? That will have a big effect on the sound, too.

Kemper, so sky's the limit as far as amp. I'm partial to one of the the 5150 profiles from Sinmix, but I could see myself switching for a seven string.

Any thoughts on the Nazgul? The guy I'm buying the guitar from also has a Nazgul for sale for $100.

The Nazgul has more upper mids, and is less scooped. Also, while it does super high gain magnificently, it really doesn't do any other gain levels- clean playing is about last on the list of things it does well. I didn't hear the tones you were talking about have a lot of upper mids there.

The DiMarzio Imperium is killer in a 7. Highly recommended.
