Goya was all over the map as far as what country produced them - Sweden, Italy, Japan, etc.

Yeah, from what I read, it was a Swedish company (regardless or where they were made which varied) which the Goya name was just a nameplate for marketing in strategic areas like North America and Europe -banking the name Goya (as in the famous painter who painted lots of guitars) would resonate with some buyers.
