What to do with a SD JB Junior

Hello all

I have just obtained a lovely looking JB Jr pickup and am trying to figure out the best use for it. May well build a guitar from scratch, don’t want a strat style - any thoughts on a good plan to include this? I may also have a Jazz neck pickup soon.

What’s people’s thoughts/experiences of this lovely model?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Mustangs and Jags also had strat-sized pickips, FWIW. If you're building your own, you can basically build what you want.

Welcome to the forum!

We usually don't get people who buy the pickup before the guitar, so it will be cool to find out what you do with it. It is a cool pickup to use...in anything, really. Turn any basic Fender into a hard rock machine. It sounds good in parallel, too.

I'd be curious to see what you can do with it- maybe a custom rout body from warmoth to go wild!

I never liked the jb jr in the bridge. Something real thumpy about it. In the neck position, however, it is pretty amazing. It sings, and you can play a strong rhythm tone on it too.

Oh there's nothing wrong with it, either way.
