What would happen if you put a ceramic mag in a Pegasus?

Re: What would happen if you put a ceramic mag in a Pegasus?

Well, the earth would shift slightly on its axis altering magnetic north. Rivers would flow backwards. And suddenly Jar Jar Binks would be the coolest Star Wars character.

But seriously, you'd get a sharper attack character on the note which the ear perceives as brighter. There'd be less compression. Output might increase slightly. Distortion would be a bit more "sizzly," and the note would hold a bit longer before breaking up.

Interesting...

I'm considering a Pegasus/Sentient set for my Horizon (not a big fan of the Black Water pickup I have in there now - too hot for me), and curiosity got the better of me.

Interesting that there'd be less compression though.

Better yet, put an A8 in a Pegasus.
