what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

Re: what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

Now we need a guessing~game parallel to topic side deal on guessing what it is , I say it's a Radio Tuner Slidey deal

Re: what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

Worth noting that when you physically move a pickup across the strings, there is a hash noise, like a white noise created from the motion. Think about it like this: If the string moving over the pickup makes a sound, then the pickup moving over the strings would make a sound too right?! If it's slow enough you don't hear it.

Re: what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

Yeah, at the speeds that would make such a thing appealing, it would be too slow to generate an audible waveform. I've tried doing things like waving permeable metal over a pickup really quickly to see if I could hear it - nothing.

Look familiar?

I apologize, I don't know what you're referring to. What part of the Soldano video should look familiar regarding moving the pickup over the strings?

If instead of amps if there were guitars all over the place and hundreds of pickups on the tables it looks a lot like your shop.

Re: what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

Oh I thought it was in reference to the actual statement you quoted. Well we both have Italian last names too....LOL

Re: what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

Just to get back to the original intention. Listen if you please to the ver significant difference a pickup over the strings has. Ergonomics are a huge problem but the tones it adds are a pretty hefty offering:
1.guitar neck only
2.guitar neck w/ uber pup off
3.guitar pup + uber pup
4.uber pup reversed
Bridge:
1. guitar bridge only
2.guitar bridge + uber pup off
3.guitar bridge + uber pup on
4.uber pup only
5.uber pup reversed
6.guitar bridge + reversed uber pup

Re: what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

Yeah, except scientific discovery starts with an actual problem to solve. This is just a hammer in search of a nail that doesn't exist.

Engineering may focus on a problem to solve, physics is more about trying to understand how nature works, math I guess is about how anything could work even if it has not been found yet :)

Re: what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

The hierarchy is
Math
Physics
Engineering

Well, that those all are considered necessary for the three is considered self evident.

Re: what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

Yes but, Engineering and Physics Cannot be done without Math . Math can be done by Itself ~ Per se (except for the Physics of moving the pencil or Finger on the Calculator

Re: what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

And it did take applied physics to build the finger, Pencil and Calculator - All 3

Re: what would the result be if you added pickups over the strings?

And then of course the results for the kramersteen boomerang spinning pickup should be available this weekend.

Well **** that then.
