What would you choose?

Very cool combo of gear! I look forward to hearing what you are able to discover.

Me too! I am really looking forward to this amp as it is a different beast than I typically gravitate towards. I really liked the sounds of it and thought it would be great for some jangly edge of breakup sounds. I figured all the various guitars and pedals I have it could make for some really interesting combo's coupled with the volume knob roll off and the way the picking attack plays into this amp. Worst case scenario, I really think it will get me to play different things and probably force me to become a better guitar player as it appears to be a very honest amp. None of those things are bad things. I hope it arrives quickly and in one piece!

I was going to suggest a H/K Triamp MK III. They seem like an amp that can get you pretty near a full can of alphaghetti of sounds, a to z. Plus they look pretty awesome.

I have considered that amp for a long time. I am not big on the LED light up thing but can live with it. It wasn't in stock anywhere so it was out. Additionally, they are terrible at holding value so when I come across a dead mint one used I will grab it. Very cool amp for sure and should get more love than it gets IMO. Great suggestion! :beerchug:

There is a LARGE facebook page for the Helix family of products. Questions are answered quickly and the place is a wealth of information on all things Helix & HX.

I see many folks claim that you must have custom IRs to sound good. I am quite pleased with the stock cabs in the Helix software.

I was Boogie Bill LONG before I ever played a Boogie amp. But they are all I've played since buying my first one in 1995. It was the perfect amp for me. It ended years of frustration with my vintage Fender, Marshall and SUNN amps. And I sent them all away.

There is no gig I can't do with these amps. I favor the Mark Series, but I could do a blues gig with a Rectifier if I needed to.

The II-C+ is the Holy Grail of Mesas, but the III, IV, V and JP2C are lifetime amps.

Mesa has a new amp, the Badlander. It's a high-gain beast...might be worth a look if that suits your style.

Good luck on your quest.

Thanks Boogie Bill :beerchug:

My better half got me a Badlander for Christmas. I am on the hunt for a II-C+ and a Mark IV. I had a Mark IV years ago and loved it and always regretted having to let it go. All the amps you mentioned are definitely on my radar.
