Re: What would you do in my situation? (craving heavier tones)
Just get a modern-sounding Metal pedal.

NO one quoted me.
The Road King is indeed awesome, but it almost looks like more than I'd need. I don't know what I'd do with the four channels.
The good thing about having both sets of tubes is that I'd be more likely to be able to cop the Stiletto tones while also having 6L6's for teh brutalz.
Sometime last year you had posted about possibly combining your Stiletto with a Twin Tube Blue to get various levels of distortion. I specifically remember you using the phrase "weapons-grade crunch" to describe what you hoped to achieve by combining the higher gain mode of the Twin Tube Blue with the high gain channel of your Stiletto.
Did anything ever come of that idea? Or was it tried and found not to be what you were looking for?
Edit: Found the thread.
Uh oh ... now there's a guy on Craigslist with a Roadster, and he's looking for trades. Hmm...
THAT being said, if, as I know you do, you require versatility and are reluctant to give up all your ideal Stiletto sounds, you should know that actually gigging a two-amp setup is a gigantic pain in the *******. Take everything that could conceivably go wrong with your rig at a gig and double it. Now with that little nugget, learn to appreciate the extra trip during load in/out and the added couple of minutes of set-up time. It wasn't worth it to me. It is to others though. YMMV
I'd love a Roadster or a Mark V, alas, there's no way i could have that kind of volume level in a house anywhere near civilisation.
