what's a good replacement for an Invader

I have an Invader Bridge PUP and a Alnico Pro 2 in my neck in my Jagmaster. I play a Rivera Knuckle Head K-55 through a Soldano close back 2-12. I like the grind and scream of the Invader but it tends to get a little muddy. My clean is more of Fender tube ditortion. So when it's clean it has little life. The combo is nice because one guitar can work as two. But they don't blend well.

I am looking for a nice classic rock clean with good hot out put. And a good neck PUP that switches from the bridge to rythm with out changing the setting of my amp.
I have tried the Screamin Demon bridge PUP, and Ducan Distortion and now the Invader
any help would be great

I will definately suggest one of the custom series probably the C-5 and for the neck
either vintage rails or 5-2 single coil.

my measly .02 cents.

I have a humbucker - humbucker one the jagmaster. This is not routed for any single coils.
Thanks

welcome to the board g-bot!

do you like the a2p in the neck? the invader is too hot to complement the a2p. you may want to try something in the custom family or vintage/moderate output pickups like the 59, pg or a2p. for classic rock, the 59, or custom 5 will be a good choice.

Check out the JB (SH-4) and If the JB doesn't do it for you check out the Custom (SH-5). Judging by the description you provided though I'd definately lean more towards the JB if I were you. Keep in mind that Seymour Duncan has a 21 day exchange policy so if you get a pickup installed and you dont like it you can always send it back to Duncan and request the Custom or something. I currently have a JB in the bridge of my strat and I love the tone. :headbang:

Keep the aph in the neck and go for a custom custom in the bridge.

Re: what's a good replacement for an Invader

i was gonna say JB bridge, just for the definition and the nice-ish clean tones

thats more classic rock though

Custom 5, JB, or Custom. The CC might work good too, but is pretty dense for clean rhythm playing.
