Soundclick has 120 for free, I'm pretty sure facebook does 320kb/s. But whats one that I can share the link of to you guys?

check out www.ourmedia.org ... I've used them to host podcasts in the past and I'm pretty sure they support a fairly high rate... you have to use a proprietary piece of software to do your uploading, but it handles copyrights and stuff for you as well which is nice

there's really no need for 320 dude. Unless you can convince me otherwise. Give it a shot.

idk, its just annoying as piss when i upload to facebook at 320 and then I upload to soundclick and theres distortions and such on soundclicks but not on facebook. and it begs the phrase...might as well

well the difference between 192 and 120 is HUGE. 192 is all one really needs with most people's playback systems, IME, but I don't own a $300,000 stereo.

well soundclick has a max of 120 with free accounts. which is lower than 192. therefore I still need to find a new site

I'm thinkin' that the hi-res stuff I've got on soundclick sounds a lot better than most of my 128kbps MP3 files, even if it's still encoding at 128. Is the limitation just for downloaded files or also for streaming?

I also never have any issues with the soundclick encoder, coming from a super hi-res file or just a normal MP3.

Chances are you've got some clipping or sub-sonic frequency boosts that become apparent when going to the lower bitrate...honestly with all the synth stuff you do it wouldn't surprise me. This track of mine in particular:

http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7101989

has some really loud parts with full instrumentation, and overall the track has some decent dynamic range, and the soundclick thing handled it fine.
