You should notice a good step up from the stuidio to that 94 goldtop classic, and it would look friggin sweet too!

And if you dont like the stock pickups (which i suggest you try for a while anyway so you can get to know them properly before chucking them out...people are too quick to change out stock pickups these days i think sometimes) then id suggest going for Gearjonesers combo recommendation of the C5/59, or one that im going to try the C5/Jazz. Since you said you liked the C5 already this would probably be great for you in this guitar...not to mention it would sound great too in this guitar! And either the 59 or the Jazz will go well with it and make for a killer combo.

hmm i always wanted a les paul standard unfortunately i cnt afford one... perhaps one day, till then must find a new amp

I did get the 1994 classic goldtop and a 2004 studio limited black/brushed chrome guitar center Gibson. I got a refund on my cab that was ordered cuz I'm broke now. I will probably use a couple of higher wattage speakers on the low side of my Mesa cab with 2 vintage 30s on top. Any suggestions on the 2 higher wattage speakers?
