What's just a little better than a Boss DD3?

Aceman

I am your doctor of love!
If you said a Boss DSD-3 Digital Sampler/ Delay you are correct!

Pedal SCORE!

This is a pedal that I didn't know existed. I know Digitech had a double-wide delay/sampler pedal. Can it save the sample on power down?

Don't know. If so - that would be the cat's meow! Maybe with a Battery installed? We'll see.

Update: Manual says -

Up to 800ms of sampling time (not much)
The sample is repeated until you switch modes or the power is turned off.

I got it because it was a $55 DD3 basically, with other colored knobs.

Wow, interesting!
what do they mean by sampler? Can you manipulate the pitch of the sampler with your guitar? Or is it just a looper before the term ‘looper’ was known?

It's a looper before loopers. And yes - you CAN manipulate the pitch of the sample!

I wanted one of these for years, but they are usually expensive and in crappy condition. Why is to cool? Well, for me it is like a 2nd DD-3 on a board but you can tell the difference because of the knobs.

And of course, the sample function makes it like an infinite hold/loop....

A vaguely remember that one. I used to have a DD-2. Now that was an awesome digital delay. I sold it to a buddy of mine. I think he still has it.

I was throwing down on some Comfortably Numb with it last night. Good times.

Likely to be used as a second DD3 by me is all. But if I get a wild up to 800ms hair...
