What's on Your Gas List?

Re: What's on Your Gas List?

ESP PB-401
Fender Telecaster FMT HH
Gretsch G5655T-CB Center Block
Les Paul Jr
Silver or Blackface Deluxe Reverb
Mesa TA-15 (may be getting one of these soon)
Mesa Flux Five
Wampler Euphoria
Wampler Paisley
Mooer Mod Factory

Re: What's on Your Gas List?

OOOOOOO... I'd love that, with a rosewood board... always wanted the silver one

Thanks. That was a huge choice: rosewood vs. Maple neck. I get to see Ronnie Earl quite a bit. He has a red early sixties Strat that he doesn't bring on the road anymore. I always loved it. I wanted to make a tribute to that guitar.

In the end, I also wanted to do a 50's vibe guitar. The last time I saw Ronnie he had a red Nash relic Strat that looked like his old one. Probably a smart idea to leave the old home. Those Lollar pickups sounded sweet too, but they want stupid money for them.

I could live my entire life happily with only these three.

Of course, I could only WISH I were able to even afford to LOOK at that beauty.

Re: What's on Your Gas List?

I won't end up buying most of these, but its fun to share what we're all drooling over :D

I also would love a Koa Taylor Dreadnaught!

Honestly, I just want to get all the little stuff finished. Install my new antiquities into my strat, get my pedalboard made up instead of just having pedals laying everywhere, and get my mesa retubed.

Oh... and a Princeton Reverb. :D

Re: What's on Your Gas List?

a '65 Mustang RI in daphne blue

a CIJ Jazzmaster in the rare-ass color Jupiter Blue

Re: What's on Your Gas List?

I no longer have a gas list. I've gotten to a point where I can't justify spending the money, for what it would give me, specially since I no longer have a band. I already feel like everything I have is too much, since I don't gig anymore.

But what I wouldn't give for a Gretsch White Falcon without a Bigsby.

Re: What's on Your Gas List?

I am drooling over that new Gibson full hollow, 339 sized guitar (390?) with P90s. Like a Casino but with a smaller body.

I got my 339 from a local guy who buys tons of stuff new and then flips at a loss. Hope he has the same GAS as me!!!

Re: What's on Your Gas List?

Actually, I have to change my mind on something. If I was going to get a really nice acoustic, I would love me one of Frank Falbo's. I played them at NAMM, and they play and sound amazing!

Re: What's on Your Gas List?

Some form of ENGL amp.

I have no idea which one and have not educated myself to find out and I am doing my best to keep it that way :)

Re: What's on Your Gas List?

I'd also love an 1176. I can still remember the first time I tried one in a studio at the music school my brother used to go to. I was running my Les Paul into my H&K Edition tube, mic'd with either a 57 or 421 into an SSL 4000G with an 1176 on the insert. Pure tonal awesome. Unfortunately I can't afford an 1176 or SSL, so I'll have to settle for this with a decent pre:

Re: What's on Your Gas List?

I'd love to get a hold of a thin-bodied neck through superstrat with a vintagey inline headstock, like a Squier Stagemaster. The Chapmans are pretty nice too.

My main GAS right now is a Stereo-in/Stereo-out guitar amp. The Mustang V is right at the top of the list for me.

They should make neck through ibanez sabre. I dont think you could gain much better upper access tho because the sabre has the thinnest heel out.
