What’s similar the the Hot Rails?

Hi, I have wanted to get another Strat and throw in a Hot Rails. In my one Strat I have a JB Jr. that I love. It’s aleays been my go-to pickup. But I have a couple guitars non Strat (V included as I posted last time regarding the Invader) and I am just curious. Thanks

The Hot Rails is a pretty intense mid-heavy pickup, which is great for heavy music. While it is a single-coil size humbucker...it is louder than most regular humbuckers. Great if you love heavier music.

Are you looking for a full-size humbucker that sounds similar to the Hot Rails?

To my ears, the Dimebucker or the Duncan Distortion always sounded like they were in that ballpark.

If that was indeed the question (I can't really tell), I'd say the Invader is closer.

It is what he'a looking for. Check his other topic. ;)

I know it would end up being a lost sale for SD I he's buying new, but if you compare the Super 3 to the Invader, you'll probably agree it is a better fit. FWIW, I had considered the Invader before anything else because it is the closest Duncan. Knowing it isn't the best match I though of a BW with an A8, but then Super 3 popped into my head. I haven't played one in a while so I went on a quest to search for samples to refresh my memory. ...and BINGO, there it was!!
