What's the deal with Chinese Greenbacks?

Re: What's the deal with Chinese Greenbacks?

I'm tempted to try a 25 watt Greenback/ 30 watt Weber Blue Dog combination in my 4X12. I currentley have one of each of the mentioned speakers and am thinking about geting two more for an "X" pattern in my cab. Offhand I think it would be a good mix. Yes? No?

It's Ipswich, not Ipswitch!! :dammit: :nana: :D
Hah! Not my mistake, tis England's fault for weird spelling... or maybe it was the cheezy image... or maybe I should have been wearing my glasses... or maybe I was just too lazy to verify the spelling :laugh2:

I was thinking about about doing the same thing (Weber Blue Dog + Greenback), but in my case, I was thinking about getting a Scumback (Greenback copy made by Weber for Scumbag Amps).

If you do go that route, tell us how it turns out!

Re: What's the deal with Chinese Greenbacks?

another popular combination is the G12H30 and the V30 speakers,(Z best cabs come this way) in an x pattern, both speakers are rated at 100db, and the strensgh of one reinforces the weakness of the other. To my ears, the V30 and the greenback are closer in tone, but the H30 adds a bit more top end and bottom end with the V30.
