Yeah the Aldrich a A5 humbucker...
I guess as far as a Duncan equivalent you'd be closer with a JB or perhaps Antiquity JB than a Custom? By nature the Custom & Custom 5 (A5 instead of a ceramic) have a fairly scooped midrange whereas the Aldrich & JB have a pushed upper midrange that make them great for distortion....
I mean I guess that's the idea anyway??? Personally I don't like either of them all that much when they are in my guitars but they are both fantastic pickups when other people are using them!!!

I recently put an SH-5 & 59 back in this Les Paul Burst and something was wrong.
Couldn't get it to sound like my other SH-5's so i got out a magnifying glass.
There was a glob [drip] of solder bridging the hot lug of the pickup pot to the metal Gibson grounding plate essentially shorting to ground but the pup was still working.
Took me a couple days to figure out.
All is good now, love the Duncan Custom & 59 in Les Pauls.

JB for sure. The Aldrich is pretty much a beefier, smoother, hotter JB.

Yeah, well, it's not a clone, but the DCR, wire gauge, magnet, and overall construction definitely scream "inspired by".

Closest thing to an Aldrich from Duncan, in my experience, is the Holdsworth AH-1 "Metal Fatigue" bridge pickup. Next closest is the regular JB.
As others have said, the Aldrich is a little hotter and smoother, warmer sounding than the stock JB. The Aldrich is actually an overwound Suhr SSH+, which itself is quite similar to the regular JB, so, technically, an overwound JB would be the closest thing to the Aldrich and that's basically what the Holdsworth is, though the Holdsworth is a bit smoother still due to the dual-fillister pole piece arrangement.
