Stock Epiphones Bin'd them the noise they made when they hit the bottom was the best they ever did!!!!

aren't epiphones sporting gibson pups now? made in usa in either case.


the worst pup i've ever tried would be stock gibson. BUT! i liked it alot.

EMG pickups. I hate them. At least you expect Powersounds to suck. Why do I hate EMG's? Well, take a $150 well set up Les Paul copy and put EMG's in it. Take a $3000 Les Paul, put EMG's in it. Then A/B them...I found that they sound the same.

Maybe I'm just crazy, but I think the moral of the story is that you can make a Ferrari run like a VW Beetle, but can't make the Beetle run like a Ferrari.

Worst pickups I've ever used: Dimarzio Blaze pickups

I sure hope Steve Vai wasn't the one who opted for these things in the Universe...if this is the case, then I'm sad to say that I must end him for it...

well i know that EMG's can sound amazing but have you heard the soundclips on there site? They're bloody awful on the 85 I think it sounds like a clean guitar tone that just has some fuzzy distortion crap somewhere ther but nothing really to do with the actual sound from the guitar.

I agree. EMG's soundclips don't do justice to the real thing. I can fart better soundclips than that.

Without a doubt, EMG HZ-1
