Seriously, though, how much exposure to sunlight has this guitar had? Most materials, including tone woods, will change color with excessive exposure to UV light, although, I've never heard of something turning green.
it's dar from the window in my room. it doesn't get sunlight at all. some parts turn green. i'm really worried. i'll post pics tonight.
Sounds like some sort of mould from dampness in the room. Where is the green stuff on the guitar? If it is on the fret ends and fingerboard, it will clean off. Give your frets a polish while you are at it.
not on the frets and finger board. it's on the wood of the neck. i don't think it's mold...
Hahaha, that's not mold, and while it has a greenish tint, it's not green. What you're experiencing is wear from the back of the neck from playing too much. You're playing through the finish, and in a few months, it'll turn brown and then grey.
Congrats, you're practicing.
so it's not a bad thing?
hmmm... i was wondering, what would happen if i sanded down the neck to remove that thin finish? how would it feel?
