I love the high tech 'mysterious' looks of the EMG style pickups. That's why my Duncans are covered with black plastic covers. I still need to find a way to get a SD logo on the plastic covers.

It all depends on the color of the guitar and the pickguard (if there is one).

Amen about the last part bro, but I do care what they look like. Yes it defenitely depends on what color (or top) the axe is finished in. I like Reversed Zebra in pure black, pure white, all transperent finishes, and maybe a few others. And as I'm a great fan of figured top finished guitars, I love reversed zebra. I like it more than zebra, just because the Duncan logo is on the black bobbin and is thereby more visible. If the pick up has the logo, might as well show it off right? :duh:
My alltime favorite would be black bobbin with logo with chrome bobbin, but because I never encountered any, I'd like to put a chrome bobbin topper over the white one (or the one with no logo) :dance:

Ok, maybe I should have beed more specific: I don´t generally care what they look like, it just has to fit to the guitar. For example A Blue giotar with PInk/Green Zebra pickups isn´t quite what I´m looking for, and a Cream Invader looks a bit strange in a Lester IMO. But for the most part

I think it looks best when the neck pup is nickel covered and the bridge is open black or zebra It just gives out a really comfortable vibe like when using the neck pup on leads it just feels right when its nickel covered and on those treble leads and riffs you need somethin aggresive and kinda rude lookin and thats uncovered ,like page's number one and in tommy thayers les paul it may look tacky to some but i think its awesome.Im looking to put a C5 zebra in bridge and a nickel covered 59 in neck (in a les paul classic cinnaburst)
