Van Halen - Beat It

I think that is one of Eddie's weaker solos. I much prefer Rick Derringer's solo on Eat It. In fact, I think he totally pwns Eddie speed-wise. (Solo starts at 2:14, Rick shows his shrederifficness at 2:36 to 2:40.

Speaking of Blackmore, the solos on Lazy (Machine Head album) I think are his best. He's just flying on that fretboard, and doing some very creative stuff. Everything comes together on that song.

Great choice! Blackmore had some great solos out there- his tone and phrasing came together perfectly on that one. For a completely different take, Steve Morse does a very different take on it, which sounds wonderful too.

Asia - "Without you". Steve Howe playing.

Jut couldn't pick my favorite Schenker, and was thinking of Asia, just didn't go there....Great album, gotta listen to that!
