My R7 is about 8.5 and my traditional pro is a little over 9.5. You really feel the difference after an hour.

My '01 Standard Plus started out around 9lbs even, but it's down to roughly 8.5 after a few hardware swaps. I used to own a '77 LP Custom that was roughly 10.5 and that's too much for me. I wouldn't really notice while playing it, but I always felt like I was levitating when I took it off. These days 9lbs is about as heavy as I'm willing to go for anything, even a bass.

Almost all of mine run between 8.9 and 9.2 lbs., which includes chambered, weight-relieved and solid bodies. I don't think I'd want one much heavier, though I have an ASAT Deluxe and a Legacy Special that go 9.5 lbs. The two chambered Classic Antique Les Paul models are 7.9 and 8.4 lbs.

Around 8.5#'s is about right. They'll all sound different though so if it's a cream of the crop example, it doesn't really matter unless you are weight sensitive.

I played a Norlin era Custom a few years ago that was 2 oz. shy of 14#'s, no thank you! Sounded killer though.

My Epiphone Les Paul Standard is about 9 or 10 lbs. The Typical Weight of an average Epiphone Les Paul (+/- 5%), 8.5 lbs
