Whats Your Pedal Board?

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

here's my board...

the board itself is a custom pumaboard with my own leopard material

the signal chain is....

Guitar...TU-2...OC-2...Whammy...Morley Tremonti wah...MI Tube Zone...MXR Flanger...Script phaser (bullseye)...ISP Decimator...AMP INPUT

in the loop are a Line 6 DL4 and my custom "hot rod" delay.

I have to get one of those pedalboards. What type of top did you get (looks like the velcro loop style)? How do you like it?

the top is all velcro loop which is great since it looks good and clean and the pedals can be put anywhere. how do i like it....i LOVE it! i've gone through quite a few boards and was going to order a trailer trash when i found Kevin at pumaboards and he was willing to cover one of his boards in my leopard material that i sent to him which is a close match to the inside of my Clone Guitar so that was a plus for me. the board is built AMAZINGLY well also. i couldn't be happier with it!

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

Boss TU-2 tuner
Marshall 4 switch channel switcher

Actually, there is no board, just two boxes on the floor.

What does the Redeye do?

- Keith

DI/Reamp box. Plug the guitar in, run a cable from the Redeye to your audio interface for the DI track, and another from the Redeye's 'thru' output (duplicated guitar in signal) out to whatever amp you're monitoring with. R un another cable from the interface back out into the Redeye, and one from the Redeye to the amp for reamping those Di tracks.

That is the visual link, for the rest of you it is the following

Morely AB switch (A goes to my Boss TU2 tuner, B goes through the signal chain. This allows me to silent tune or tune while playing)

VOX Clyde McCoy Wah Wah (V 848?)

Maxon TubeScreamer (pushed tone)

Boss SD1 (For that mild Tom Petty kinda overdrive)

Ibanez Tube King (Marshall in a box. Best overdrive I have ever used. You can get any kina tone out of this bad boy)

Boss GE7 (lead boost)

Boss DD3 (slap back delay)

Boss DD5 with Boss FS5U (for Edge like Delay and tap tempo effects)

I have a tremolo in my Twin Reverb, but I would like to get a Voodoo Labs tremolo to put in my pedal board so I dont have to hook up the foot switch every night.

Sorry for the hijack. What's "reamping"?

It's when you send a guitar track (for example) that was recorded direct, back through to an amp and then the amp is miked up and the track re-recorded.

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

My board is a lot more complicated than it really needs to be, as I don't usually use all the pedals in a gig . . . but it's nice to have them when I need them.

I go from my guitar (Epiphone Dot or Godin Exit 22) to:

535Q wah (Need for reggae and funk)
PSM-5 Power Supply and Master Switch (Powers all my pedals with a 1-spot and switches an effects loop in and out)
PH-3 Phaser (Use for some Pink Floyd tunes, occasional weirdness)
DS-2 Distortion (Any time I need distortion)
VT-2 Vibratrem (Use for Run Through the Jungle, some Pink Floyd Tunes)
PS-3 Pitch Shifter/Delay (Usually use the delay settings, sometimes use the pitch shifting and arpeggiator for noise)

The effects loop that I can switch in or out has the following:
BD-2 Blues Driver (use for clean boost)
ED-1 Compressor (use for funk and reggae, or as a boost during clean solos)
CE-5 Chorus (use for police covers, and the occasional clean tune, and I use the stereo out to connect to my little korg tuner so that I can tune up whenever I need to)
PS-2 Pitch Shifter/Delay (use for crazy pitch shifting, extra delay for Run Like Hell, some U2 stuff, also a cool noisebox)

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

right now...just a Carl Martin Ac-Plex into a Rocktron Tsunami.

in a few weeks it's gonna be a Pedal train 2 with a Budda wah, Ac-Plex, Crucible fuzz, Tsunami, and a Phaser (don't know which one yet)

While this may be convenient, you're losing some of your signal by doing that, especially of the path from the second output ends with the tuner. When you utilize both outputs, the signal is essentially split. When in mono mode (only one output, let's call it output A), a mix of the wet and dry signal is passed to that single output (A). Once the second output (we'll call it B) is hooked up, the wet signal is fed to output A and the dry signal to output B. Once the pedal is bypassed, it's a dry signal from both outputs.

Right now:

Tuner
|
Guitar -> RMC Wizards - Looper - Crunch Box - > Analogman Chorus -> Amp

The Splawn switcher is also on my board.

Off the board:

Guyatone MD3
Boss DM3
Ibanez AD9
Budda Bud Wah
Lovepedal Magicboy
Ibanez TS9
Morley Bad Horsie V1
Loooper Channel Switcher

That is all I can remember off the top of my head.

My Catalinbread Semaphore is getting shipped out next week for repairs.

Re: Whats Your Pedal Board?

Planet Waves Chromatic Pedal Tuner --> Vox V847 (or Dunlop CryBaby From Hell) --> Boss NS-2

And of course my Triple X's footswitch. Never thought about buying a real pedalboard for only 3 pedals and a footswitch.

Yeah, I looked at it again last night . . . I'm actually splitting off of the VT-2 for my tuner. This pedal doubles the signal rather than splitting it so there's no signal loss. I guess the CE-5 was giving me some loss of signal so I stopped using it as a splitter.

Banzai Cold Fusion--->Line 6 DL4--->amp.

I have yet to find a wah I like so I don't have one. Besides that I'm just penny pinching till I get a strobostomp.
