Re: What's your thoughts on forever keeping/getting rid of your first guitar?
They say you never forget your first.... sigh... She was a no name accoustic that my parents leased to own from a music store. Bridge pulled up and action was about 1/2 inch from the board.. then my Bro bought a no name electric from a Marine bud that was deploying for $15. it was an unplayable wreck, but I always appreciated his effort. My first real guitar was a Kramer striker series. it was a gorgeous midnight blue. It was a decent player (MUCH more capable than I was). I bought my first aftermarket pickup to go in that guitar. The dealer sold me a (get this) Seymour Duncan JB for it. I bought a Charvel model series and one had to go. I had the JB put into the Kramer and wow did it wake up! But the Charvel was a nicer axe, so I sold the Kramer. That was my first experience with the difference great pickup would make!
