I was at Guitar center and saw this. On the new Hard Wire Series rack they have a simple 2 ended male 1/4" jack inbetween each pedal hooking them up! I want that! They have to be cheap! Anyone know where to get em?

Thanks

YEAH!!! Basically the same! The ones I say were just straight but those will do! Thanks!

How about this one?

The straight ones are good for pedals by the same manufacturer where the jack heights are the same. The offset coupler is for combining two different manufacturers pedals with different height jacks........In my experience with these couplers they cause alot of crackling when pressing down on the pedal because they don't "give". Perhaps if the pedals are rigidly mounted on a pedalboard that won't be a problem.......I bet Guitar Denter has 'em too!

I didn't think about why you would want the offset! Good to know. That crackle makes sense too! Thanks again!

Re: Where can you get these....???

For what it's worth, I was warned against the straight couplers, for the cracking reason mentioned above.

Think about the amount of play induced between two velcro-mounted pedals when stomping on one, or if not mounted, the amount of wiggle just with the little rubber feet between one and the other. Some pedals do not have perfectly vertical sides, which leads to problems with these kinds of couplers, too.

Re: Where can you get these....???

I use Planet Waves offest connectors. Even pedals from the same manufacturer will be slightly off, so there is some risk of loosening parts.

Re: Where can you get these....???

I used those for a while (a very short while). I found them to be unstable & when I stepped on a pedal they would move and come loose causing some connection issues. Some of the pedals did not line up right. I now use George L cables!

Re: Where can you get these....???

I use 'em too.

Yes, they can cause noise. And they're not necessarily cheap either.

Do yourself a favor and get a quality patch cable.

Avoid the Hosa and Fender brands too. IME, they're not very reliable either.

Right now I'm using the Dimarzio pedal cables and no problems so far.
