I have pictures of my "Iba-Squier" in my sig... learned to play on that and my ibanez acoustic (not expensive either)

My two ibie electrics hardly cost more than my squier :p

My bass amp i got for £30, some old 30 watt 1x15 "sound city" solid state POS.

What's left of the Ibanez RG170 that I started out with can be seen at left in my avatar. My Aria is a cheap strat clone that was my second, and it's still around, too. I'm a pack rat, so I don't know that I'll ever sell or give up any guitar that I purchase.

You're the other guy who had a Gorilla! Sweet. I saw one not long ago in a pawn shop.. brought back memories.

My first guitar was Acoustic. My Bought it for me in Sears (around 1965). I wish I still had it for its sentimental value. My first Electric was a Hagstrom 2. I sold that to buy my '69SG, which I still have. The only other guitar I have sold was a Taylor Acoustic. I traded it towards my Santa Cruz OM. I have about 20 guitars and a few Amps as well. I wish I had the Sears and the Hagstrom.

Yeah, I wish I had my first couple guitars back. I'd hang that Harmony on the wall for sentimental value, cause it played like a turd. My Mom bought it for me. It came with the crappiest amp on earth....both for $50 at Sears.

My first amp was a Gorilla. EVH used to play one backstage. So there must have been FOUR of us who owned them.:wink:

I still have my first guitar, its a cheapass Hamer Strat copy, but me and my baby have had our times, and Im not afraid to admit it. I put 8 hours a day on this thing for nearly 5 months straight.

My first amp was a Marshall MG30DFX Really wasnt horribly bad to be perfectly honest.

My 1st guitar was a harmony. It was a piece of 3/4 plywood and had
one of them PuPs that looked like a Lil' toaster w/t gold foil in it. I played
that thru a old (at that time !!!) Webcor tube reel to reel. I wish I still
had that !! Then I got a Memphis LP copy from Pergaments of all place's
(kinda like a Home depot :laugh2: ) These all became hand me downs
as I got better gear.

i still own every guitar i've EVER owned , EXCEPT my first solidbody electric (guild s60-d) which i had to trade in to afford the ibanez am-50 (see sig) .. i learned on a no-name acoustic for the first year, then got the guild on my 16th bday .. i doubt i'll ever sell a guitar again ... either my sons will get em on 'loan' if they pickup guitar or they'll go in my estate sale someday

i still have a standing offer to pay a 10% bounty to anyone who can find me a guild s60d - 2 dimarzio single coils - wine red - in reasonable condition with case ... i've gotten as close a creme white without the (stock) dimarzios and it was in real bad shape .. the search continues

Omg... my first axe was a LP cheap (very cheap) knock-off GOMEZ brand... we could clearly see the plywood thru the finish (sides).
