where to find new tolex.

i want to recover my cab and have been looking at different color tolex. i cant seem to find the one i want anywhere. i am looking for the emerald green. i have seen a few fender amps with it as well as a few other brands but cant seem to find it for sale anywhere. does anyone know where i might be able to find it. i looked at mojo tone and all they have it the dark green marshall has used.

Everyone I've know thats bought tolex (for cases or amp covering) has always bought it at Fabric stores like Joann Fabric. I dunno whether its cheaper or more expensive. But you can find Most any color at most those fabric stores. Hobby lobby and Micheals Crafts normally have some instock too, Just not as much of a selection.

Check out yourautotrim.com - they have lots of different kinds. Not officially 'tolex', but lots of selection. Lower prices than the guitar-amp-parts vendors, higher qulaity then the lightweight fabric-store stuff.

I can personally recommend the "Oxen" line, it's what I used on my Univox 13 Watter clone. It's the right weight and stretchability for covering amps. The folks at yourautotrim.com are very helpful. E-mail them and they can point you to similar products that will work.
