Alright, so yesterday I got a call from a close friend from high school. We were in a band together many years back & he is in the market for a new guitar. As sad as this sounds I've actually got the largest music store for about 100 miles around now! LOL, pretty bad considering I never intended to have a music store, I'm just a hoarder! Anyway he wanted a new guitar/guitars (he originally asked about an acoustic) that he could play before he paid & since I don't have to deal with shipping and all that I was able to give him a great deal on one of my Telecasters & my Taylor Big Baby.
Here's the thing, he brought over his Cort hollow body and a B.C. Rich Warlock that some guy from work just gave him. Both guitars were D.O.A. & both of them have issues ranging from minor to WTF!!!
He wanted to know if I'd be interested in taking them as partial trade for what he was buying but right now I'm trying to consolidate not expand my collection so I declined, at least so far!!! They both seem like they're going to play okay once I get them up and running & add in some elbow grease but doing that hasn't been very easy so far, its just been one thing after another...

The B.C. Warlock's electronics essentially looked like someone pulled out all the guts, stuck them into a blender, left it on high for a hour, then re-installed them so that's going to be a complete re-wire? There's no getting around that but I've got all the parts here already so I should be able to get it making some noise with a little bit of time and effort? Remember when finding a diagram on the Duncan website actually worked, those were the days hunh? Lol!!!
So the Cort, this guy is a beautiful looking & playing guitar! It's got some cracking in the finish but just the finish, the guitar itself seems to be sound & the cracking doesn't go beyond the top coat. I did get it working again, the issue was in the jack and normally this would be a easy fix but I can't take it apart. I CAN NOT find any other way to work on it other than sticking my finger tips into the F holes and fiddling around until I find a hole? I mean it is working now that the jack is fixed but he wants me to mod it for him. I.E.- new harness, jack, & pickup's but I don't know if that's possible & even if it is is it really worth it?
I'll drop another picture below of the back so you can see what I'm talking about, if anyone has any suggestions as to what I should do or how I can get these things done please chime in! I'm going a bit crazy trying to figure out how I'm going to build a new harness for a guitar that I can barely get my finger into...

I'm considering taking the Cort as partial trade if I can do something with the nut so it stays in tune better & @ the very least get a set of 59's into it (I know I can just splice into the existing wiring for them) but really, if I'm going to take it I'd like to know that upgrading the wiring is at least a possibility? Also I don't know if I'll need it or not but if someone can help me find a diagram for the Warlock that would be awesome! It's just a H/H, 1 vol., 1 tone, 3 way toggle setup, easy peasy!
Thanks in advance....
