Which A-B Switchbox?

I am getting my gear ready for another busy summer gigging season. I used my Traynor Custom Blue 50 1x12 combo with 1X12 extension cab all last summer. I am very happy with this rig for me live gig. But I want to add my Traynor YCS-100 head into Marshall 1960A cab for the larger gigs. I'd like to do both and use a good switchbox to switch between them, or even run both at the same time. I have a cheap DOD A/B box that I bought many years ago. It sucks... tone and adds noise. No good. What boxes would you guys recommend for this task? Thanks!

Radial Big Shot ABY. Only 75 bucks. Have a ground lift switch so no noise. Can switch between amp or use both. There is even a tuner out that does not effect anything else and can always be left on. No batteries needed.
I love mine, I use both Marshalls listed in my sig.

Re: Which A-B Switchbox?

Thanks for the replies guys! I'd love to have the pricey one, but will likely start with the $75 one. I haven't event spent $325 on an actual effects pedal to this point! lol

Re: Which A-B Switchbox?

the Radial is good... and the Frampton Tone is winner too but more costly....

Re: Which A-B Switchbox?

GO to the Fulltone Website and build his AB box. It's cheap and easy to build. It doesn't offer the Y option but it is completely transparent and adds no noise in my setup

Re: Which A-B Switchbox?

I just scored a used Morley for $29 that sounds far better than the Bigshot I tried for 30 min before returning it. However if you're looking for the best sounding box out there, I have yet to find one that beats the Switchbone.

The Startouch is one of the best out there. I used a Morely A/B/Y for years with a Marshall and a Fender. It worked OK, but it was noisey. This is considerabley better and is dead quiet. It also has no bleed from one side to the other. Some A/B boxes will allow you to "hear" channel A when you should only hear channel B. This works great!

^ +1. i was going to suggest the startouch as well.
