JB/59n is a great combo for 80s hard rock. I personally like the 59/59 combo more, but I like the classic rock style tone.. not that a 59 can't do 80s with the right amp, that's for sure. You can get a decent EVH tone with a 59 and the right amp.

yeeeeahh I'd say JB/59 is like "Standard Normal Professional-sounding Rock Guitar Pickup Combo"...somebody call up SD's marketing department and tell 'em to make that a set...

I love the JB/59 combo in my Jackson, but the 59 is a good bridge pup, too. I'll probably have an LP style guitar with a 59/59 combo in it, eventually.
