I dont know the DD-20 at all, so is it even capable of doing delays like the clips? And can DE-7, Echopark and DD-6 do the same?

the dd20 has multiple types of delay (tape, digital, analog etc) you can record 4 presets, play over youself, and have a delay time of up to 23 seconds. it is very versatile and only around 30$ more than the dd6

Well it is 80bucks more here so it is out of the question.

I was offered a DD-5 cheap, so I could basically get a DD-5+Dyna-comp, or Phase90.. Would that be better than the DD-6?

Another thing, what about the linelevel/guitarlevel thing?

For me - if it was my money, i would either get 2 DE7's (they are cheap - yet fantastic) or the CM RR, although it is no secret that i want a Lelayla XL ASAP !

Saying that,if you like Slash's tone (...who doesn't ?) he uses a DD6 - read it in the Britt mag, GUITARIST, earlier this year !

It would definitely get you, at least, in the ballpark. But I didn't think the price difference was that steep...

The DD20 is out so no more talk about that one, because I wont buy it

The DD-6 and DD-5 are practically the same right?

Yeah well those are too expensive.... CS-3 looks kinda cool too. Phase90 just rocks too but its mainly a effect I would use for Van Halen stuff not my own I think.

EDIT: The rocktron bigcrush also looks good?

I thought about instead of a Compressor or Phaser, of getting a better tuner.. I have a Boss TU-80 which is not very good, its very fluttering so to say, its not very stable.

I could afford any of these:
Boss TU-2.
Boss TU-12.
Boss TU-15.
Boss TU-12H.
Behringer rack tuner BTR2000.
Korg DT7.
Korg DT10.
Rocktron X-tune.


Uff I am experiencing hell as to what I want this far.... Delayla is fine enough, just a tad to short but I could live with it for now.... I dont have a compressor but dont really need it, as I dont know what it would do 100%... Phaser is cool, but how often would it be used.... Tuner is pretty essential, so that might be a obvious thing to change. Then I would like to get a TS-9 as my sound is semi scooped, to thicken it up a bit, but my BD-2 is pretty good for that too.

I dunno, its a tough one. Others opinions would be greatly appreciated

THAT THING COLOURS YOUR TONE BEYOND RECOGNITION - FACT !

I tried one, on a Roland JC 120 & Twin Reverb, and almost did not recognize my OWN guira's tone !!!

THIS UNIT IS VERY NOTORIOUS FOR COLOURRING IN A BAD WAY - APPROUCH WITH EXTREME CAUTION !!!

My hard earned money will go towards a Dyna Comp, and if i do not have enough money at the time, i will wait untill i do, but the CS-3 is a big no-go-area, for me and many others that take their tone seriously !

OT, FWIW - i got a used Boss BF-7 FLANGER for FREE today !

Have to tried it yet, as i am sun burnt - went to the beach today.

I look like a red lobster :eek13:

Have you looked into a fuzz of any sort ?

I can not get my sig. tone without a Big Muff and/or my beloved custom/clone/modded RAT / BD-2 !!!

I have my tone comming from the amp, with a BD-2 pushing it even harder.. I thought of a TS-9 to have a more aggresive sound though.
