E34L's were designed to provide more headroom and have a stronger bass.
STRATDELUXER97 said:I don't agree with this statement....Your statement describes the 6L6 tube...An EL34 wants to compress and bring the mids out quicker and alot of it is because of it's thinner and taller shape....
The 6L6 is rounder, fuller and throatier sounding and offers more clean headroom in the same amp by comparison to the EL34s...Both tubes offer good bass however.
wixedmords said:Read that again SD.That's not an EL34. It's late Bro.
STRATDELUXER97 said:Are you talking about the actual 30 watt Groove Tube EL34L? I have a set here I've not even tryed yet....LOL
I was talking about EL34s in general.....My bad then! :smack: :laugh2:
It is pretty late for me actually....:laugh2:
wixedmords said:Well, any of the E34L's. I love the JJ.
SD, You are home.I knew that you looked at it too quick. If I saw it the way you saw it I would have said WTF also.
OM, the E34L bridges the gap between EL34's and 6L6's. It is eq'd closer, but still lacks the warmth.
What speakers you running in the cab for the SuperLead? What Cab?
+1 My favorites too.kevlar3000 said:Seimens do this better than just about any I have heard. Warm, round. In the right amp they are just beautiful, not as much forward crunch and are a little bit darker in their voice.

I'm using Original 90's Svetlana's right now though. They are closer to Siemens by my ear. I'm hoping to run across some Siemens NOS before these start going south.
