My 95 and 98 std as well as my 2001 59 RI all had 300k pots in them and all the LPs I have worked on in the last few years have all had 300k pots.
Gibson specifically packages and sells the 300k long shaft pots which I believe are exclusive to the LPs. I don't see too many other Gibsons to comment on the other lines.

Gibson does seem to mix it up tho...my '00 Les Paul 59 Historic uses 500K.
This is interesting tho...no wonder I usually prefer the brighter tone of my Hamers over Gibsons! Hamer uses the "right" pots..."right" for the tone I like anyway.

I bought a pair of pups that came out of a 2002 Flying V that had a 300K volume pot attached to one of the pups...

OK glad you started this thread lew. I was putting in a new pup tonight so I went throught all the pots since I remembered I replaced one wen i got the guitar cause I snapped the tang on a pot changing out the knobs. I used a new Gibson pot I had in my parts box, good thing I double checked!
475k - 480k - 515k - 282k hmm guess which one I put in? I had a WD 500k longshaft pot so I swapped it in, it measured about 520k.
