I have duplicates of almost all of my guitars.

Ten G&L Legacys, three Legacy Specials, two each of the S-500 and Comanche models.
Eleven of the various Les Paul models.
Two each: Takamine acoustic and DanElectro 12-strings, Music Man Sabre IIs, Ibanez GR-520 Ghostriders.
Ten dreadnought acoustics--eight Martins, a Taylor, and an Ibanez.
Five 335s, three Gibsons and an Ibanez AS-120 Artstar and a Hondo clone.

In adding it up, I only have one bass, one banjo and one ASAT. I think those are the only non dupes.

I am truly blessed to have so many nice guitars.

Pretty much, due to the types of **** you usually get when a big corporation buys an independently owned company from the guys who started it. Over all cheapening of stuff, changes in suppliers and materials, weird decisions that have nothing to do with improving the product itself, but only with increasing the bottom line, stupid designs, and the other usual crap you get with disinterested corporate control.

But the changes didn't necessarily make them completely worthless instruments. There are instruments from CBS that are just fine. My dad bought his '76 Musicmaster Bass brand new. When he died, I inherited it. It has been through a lot of use and abuse (spending most of its life without a case). It has been used for almost any recording, gig, practice, or other project requiring bass in my dad's or my life since 1976, and it has always got the job done leaving nothing to be desired. Almost 40 years later, it's my main bass with my current band, getting played at least two or three times a week. A few pots have gone bad over the years, but that's it. Feels good, sounds good, and has cost about $15 in parts to repair and maintain over these years. Not a bad investment for under $200.

Yeah I once played a 70s Jazzmaster with a few sunken inlays, personally not sure how this happens but hey.

Les Pauls. They just work for me. The P90 models have been left stock. The GT has a PG/59n and the burst has a set if DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAFs. LPs just work for my playing. I gig the GT and the Burst. The Jr makes a few shows here and there.

I have 2 Teles. Both 1993 MIM Standards.

One has EMG 81/85 with an RPC control and the other has the EMG T-X set with an SPC.

I have 4 Strats.

One has the EMG DG-20 set (SA singles with Master tone, EXG and SPC controls)
One has EMG SAs with master Volume and Tone with an SPC control.
One has a Duncan LiveWire Classic IIs with EMG EXG and SPC controls.
and the last one has a Duncan LiveWire Hot set, Master Volume, Tone for Neck/Mid and tone for the bridge.

Two of the Strats have Maple fretboards and two have Rosewood. They are all awesome.

I too have scars that never healed from the '70s, caused by Gibson T-Tops.

I have multiple Les Pauls, although only one is a Gibson, the work crew is vintage Japanese.

I have 3 split-pickup style Precision basses, all Fender.

I have several 1980s second generation (21 frets) Ibanez Blazers.

I have two Ibanez Super Strats - A 92 Jem and a 91 USA Custom.

I have 3 American Standard Fender Strats + a Highly hotrodded Hello Kitty Squier (The pink one of course...for tone)

I have 4 Gibson SGs - A Standard, A Voodoo and Two Classics

I have 2 Gibson Explorer Pros.

Yep...that's it for doubles.

I own several strats and have them set up for different sounds. All maple fretoboards.

Without listing them all I have one with a set of Texas hots, one with a set of classic stacks, several with YJM fury sets (awesome for hard rock with low noise), one with fat 50's and one setup H-H (a2 pro neck, '78 bridge).

Two of my strats are from the mid 70's. I LOVE the necks on them to the point that I bought a USA 70's reissue body for one of them from the stratosphere. Now it feels and sounds killer. And weights 5 lbs less. Lol.

R9, stock Burstbucker 1 & 2.

The R6 and R9 are my Yin and Yang guitars. I don't really use any of my other guitars anymore unless it's out of boredom, but even those occasions only serve to remind me why I prefer those two guitars over the rest.

...but they aren't exact duplicates. There are some pickup differences, wood differences, etc.
