Which is the better deal?

I've got my eye on a couple of amps on Ebay, neither of which have any bids on and both have reserve prices. They are as follows:

1. Engl Screamer 50 watt combo + 1 x 12" Extension cab - reserve of £650

2. Mesa F-50 1 x 12" - Reserve £750 inc. shipping

I play sort of MOR 'Acoustic Rock', so I need a good clean sound, good crunch and the ability to dial in some gain for solos.

Which do you think is the better deal/amp?

The ENGL will probably be the better deal, since you're closer to Germany (where ENGL's are made) than you are to California, USA (where Boogies are made).

The F50 is going to be the better deal for you, if you could get it at that price. Far superior than the Engl and the clean channel is really great. The gain channel will give you everything you want and more. Don't worry about the fact that it is made in the US as MBs are built like the proverbial brickhouses and will last forever.
